LIGHT FOREVER – Many Promaster watches feature the added benefit of Citizen's revolutionary Eco-Drive technology. Powered by light, you never need to change a battery making these watches unstoppable.

Eco Drive - Run by light. Sunlight and artificial light are absorbed through the crystal and dial. A solar cell beneath the dial converts any form of light into electrical energy to power the watch. A lithium-ion rechargeable battery stores enough energy to power the watch from 80 days to 5 years

Eco Drives come with a limited Five-Year Warranty. Eco Drive watches each have their own power reserve. E.G. A watch may have a power reserve of 365 days. This basically means if you were to put the watch into darkness for 365 days and bring it back out, it would still be working (presuming the watch was fully charged once in darkness). And if it has stopped, then simply sit it under light to charge it up and off you go.
